Internet Random Book No.1 < /
>
The Internet Random Book No.1 shows 300 web pages, collected with the aid of a random function, in order to build a visual cross-section from the Internet.
By transforming the digital monitor images into the book, another perspective is offered on this still young medium. The book is an experiment to freeze the volatile lettering inside memory chips and recall it to its origin carrier material.
There are several words marked through the whole text, forming a quote by Vilém Flusser: “We have to accept that we are living in disorder, in chaos, because who says coincidence, says disorder as well and who says coincidence, disclaims orientation as well. Instead of orientation, however we have something much bigger, the so called designing.”

LOG in // LOCKED out is a space installation elaborated during my diploma at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts 2008. It's a self-experiment, in order to visualise leaving one's mark on internet-surfing. An automatic process stored all personal Internet User-Data of one month during internet activity. Later on this data was printed on 15 meter long paper webs, freely suspended in space. The letters are x-rayed by beamer-light, searching for a personality and their behaviors.

Poster series (DIN A1) with the title »Tout ce que nous voyons cache quelque chose d’autre.« [René Magritte]
The work arised during some experiments with the flat bed scanner and inspired me working on a new interface for a web-browser history. You can watch a short video-screengrab of the prototyp here:

My old website invites and guides you by characters and signs.
Do your best playing the little comma-game and try to find the twisted comma.
